Kept me up the first night as I had to follow her around Australia and feel the earthy lifestyle that was around her. Her strength is empowering and I reminisced about my own past and shared feelings of being the puppet for all to dictate because the young are too scared to object. Love the writing as it was engaging to the end thank you Brenda (Dorothy)

Interesting story of a woman who just seemed to "get the rough end of the stick" and although spending a lot of her life in hospitals and prison, has come out this end with an education and a much better outlook on life.

What a shitty life this poor woman had. The abuse she suffered through and survived is amazing. She committed a crime and did her time for it, rehabilitating herself through writing and education. A very interesting read.
