This extremely practical guide provides readers with a huge number of effective strategies for improving children's numeracy skills in the classroom. Mike Ollerton shows how active learning, equipment based and surprise perspectives can make maths fun. Brimming with useful tips and inspirational advice on every aspect of mathematics teaching, this book is essential reading for every maths teacher
I found this book mostly helpful for all Mathematics' teachers. It provides us with amazing ideas to teach effectively as well as helps a teacher understand his students ability or learning level. Though, I cannot make use of all ideas described because of lack of Mathematical equipment on local level, here in Pakistan. The last chapter inspired me so much as it says that without any mental ability differences, we must teach our students without grouping. I appreciate the author : Mike Ollerton's effort for sharing his Mathematics' teaching experiences and ideas.
