This book has a few interesting chapters on things that have dropped off the public consciousness outside of conspiracy circles. The Delgado technologies being mentioned was pretty surprising to me. In general this suffers from being a product of the early stages of modern biosocial criminology, though. Very early tentative moves being made. Fortunately, what warrants skipping is very obvious.
It's a shame that more efforts haven't been made across time to rescue true observations from Lombroso, who was clearly the good guy. He's the Malthus of criminology - right and constantly defamed. Modern facial development research 100% vindicates Lombroso on a number of points.
A pretty good book. It's a collection of essays that explore different crime control techniques ranging from controlling the populace through chemical and hormonal means to targeted electro-shock therapy to shut off certain areas of the brain.
