Gien Karssen has written an excellent Biblical survey on the encounters Jesus had with various women. The author steers away from traditional typecasting of Biblical women and presents them in a realistic manner without veering from the scriptures. Her depiction of Mary Magdalene in Chapter 14 "He trusts a Woman with a vital message" is particularly commendable.
This book is ideal for personal or group study. At the end of each chapter there are references and some thought-provoking questions. There is a bibliography. The work would be improved with an Index.
