I found this title on the Vietnam Vet Memorial web site. Arthur McQuade, one of the men who fought alongside the author, was my cousin. Having first hand, up close and personal retelling of the events that led to his sacrificing his life was very difficult to get through, but once I knew it was there, I could not ignore it. I am grateful to the author for his hard work telling his story, as well as his service. This book demonstrates the insanity of war, and rekindled the fury I felt as a teenage American when the Vietnam War was on. It is a hard read but very much worth the heartache.

I was at a loss for words when I completed this book, which to this day remains among my most favored and closely guarded reads. I do not believe a proper reaction could be put to words, but I urge anyone who finds a copy to have a read. It provides a change in perspective necessary for all people to contemplate adopting.
