This is more of an applied intro businesses calc book. A lot of emphasis is put on interpreting graphs. Doesn't go into how to model, but those skills are usually learned in university somewhere. If you know how to do a linear regression in excel, you're set using this for self study. No theory and just application using basic algebra. All the problems are easy, extremely similar, and getting something wrong usually equates to not converting units before plugging in. They might get troubling towards the end if you have trouble with word problems, but they all end up as the exact problems in the text with the trouble being knowing what to use to plug and chug. Do not expect to actually learn calculus using this. It's a black box approach where you are told how to get answers for a very limited set of problems.

this book ruined my life lol. I had to buy it three semesters--the first time for calc I and then twice for calc II. Now it won't even sell on amazon. Ridiculous. Hundreds of my dollars went into this piece of do-do.
