Tell Me One Good Thing: Bedtime Stories

Rate this book
Tell Me One Good Thing is a collection of six new bedtime stories and five poems that are quite diverse in tone and some sweet and gentle, others scurrilous and fantastical. All are so rich and engaging that children will want to hear them over and over again.

My memory on this is a bit fuzzy but... I had submitted a manuscript for the story WAY BELOW ABOVE HER HEAD to Annick Press with the idea that it would be a picture book in the Jesse Adventure Series. When Eugenie Fernandes saw the manuscript, she suggested that we use the story as part of a collection of bedtime themed stories and poems. The poem TELL ME ONE GOOD THING was inspired by a routine that Maggee created to help sooth Jesse bedtime when she was plagued by anxious thoughts that made it hard for her to fall asleep.

Because Eugenie used a different graphic style for each of twelve pieces so the visual element of this book is particularly rich.
