Summary: Fall is around the corner and nights will come earlier. Rain will also come with the fall. In gardens the last fruits and vegetables are starting to ripen. Animals grow longer fur to keep them warm.
Reaction:
This is a great science book for changing seasons. I would read this book to first graders. The book includes real non-fiction pictures that help explain the weather change. I liked remembering the climate change and felt the fall spirit.
Literature Terms: Mood.
How does the fall feel? The book brings the mood of a happy time to explore and enjoy. I would ask students what makes the fall fun.
Activity: I would have students document the weather change after reading the book for three weeks in October.
