Boxed set includes the first four books in the series:

1. The Adventures of Captain Underpants
2. Captain Underpants and the Attack of the Talking Toilets
3. Captain Underpants and the Invasion of the Incredibly Naughty Cafeteria Ladies...
4. Captain Underpants and the and the Perilous Plot of Professor Poopypants

Captain Underpants is a hilarious superhero spoof that will appeal to the immature everywhere. Harold and George, two practical jokers who are constantly in trouble, hypnotize their crabby principal, Mr. Krupp, and turn him into Captain Underpants. The silly adventure really begins when Mr. Krupp (aka Captain Underpants) starts chasing bad guys in his underwear...and saves the day again and again.

I decided to read this book because it interested me while i was about 7, but now i decided to show that this book rewards a good rate, so ill give this book a rating of (4).
I thought that one of my main character( captain underpants ) is great because he only uses the force of the wegie power and only uses it for the forse of evil! and thats why i recommend this book a great one.

While i was 7 i thought that captain underpants was the man so that's why i like him....

The silly pranksters trick their principal into thinking he's a big crime-fighting Captain underpants. The black and white illustrations make this story come to life. The drawings are wakey and fun. Readers can use a Flip-O- Rama to battle the fighting page by page. This is a fun read for kids who aren't thrilled about reading just to get them to read. I give it 4 stars because the book is great to get kids to read but not quite something you'd want them to read a lot of.

Miss 3 has devoured Captain Underpants at bedtime each night! She loves reading these (and the movie too!).

Miss 3 and I like to explore different books and authors at the library, sometimes around particular topics or themes. We try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors.

I was working at the school book fair when our son was in kindergarten. It was amazing how many ten year old boys came in to buy this book. We were reordering. Bought a copy & our son loved it. Bought a copy for the great room mom whose son was sick & she said they had so much fun reading it even though her little guy was miserable; this book made him smile. When we were living in Puerto Rico all of the first graders were totally enthralled with the book. Hung on every word. When they knew our son was going to the reading circle, they moved in so tightly he couldn't move. What a delightful book!

Have you ever wanted to turn your priciple into a superhero. In the book captain underpants by dav pickley george and harold wanted the principle to stop yelling at them. So they bought a hypnotising ring and hypnotised the principle and created captain underpants. But they could not figure out how to change them back to normal they tried every thing and after saving the say they figured it out.

I would recomend this book to kids who just want a quick read. I really liked this book because it was not boaring. I think people that do not like reading would like this book because it is really quick. It is an easy book and is funny.

I wish I wrote these - I always made up stories like this for my kids (and their friends) and got in trouble with other parents (even my wife)...

Laugh OUT Loud funny.

Very few things in life are better than watching your kid read eagerly turning pages and busting up every 5 minutes. I read through these ahead of time and "I approve of this message"

Just do it!
These books nail it for 5-9 yr old boys!

Reported by the American Library Association to be the sixth most frequently challenged books in the year 2002. According to the American Library Association, Pilkey's Captain Underpants series was banned in some schools for insensitivity and being unsuited to age group, as well as encouraging children to disobey authority.

All of the captain underpants books are hilarious tales that have humor aimed at children as well as adults. The books are easy to read and fun, also. I loved them when I was younger and would definitely recommend them to children now!
