Since the first edition was published in 1947, Simpson's Forensic Medicine has become the classic introduction to forensic medicine and pathology. Written by one of the leading forensic pathologists in the field, this new edition is completely up-to-date and revised to include information on living subjects.
Richard Shepherd was born in West London but grew up in Watford. He trained as a doctor at St George's Hospital medical school at Hyde Park Corner, qualifying in 1977, and then completed his postgraduate training as a forensic pathologist in 1987. He immediately joined what was then the elite forensic department at Guy's Hospital.
Shepherd is an experienced Senior Lecturer and Professor who has taught at universities around the world and lectured to professional audiences at national and international conferences. He has also talked to students in several secondary schools to encourage them to study medicine, science and the law.
va al grano, no dice información ni extra pero tampoco siento que le falte.A ver no estudio esto entonces me pareció que la información estaba bien , la cantidad. Por lo menos como introducción está bien. Me gustó mucho. Obviamente es muy gráfico, si sos sensible no podes leer esto, porque para entender lo que explica es necesario ver las imágenes, y hay imagenes muy fuertes.
while reading this book i came across many topics that rejected some practices and methods that are included here in Pakistani course , may be because U.K's forensic science is advanced than Pakistan . so i wont recommend this book for forensic medicine exam in Pakistan ... otherwise simply written and well illustrated book for general study
