Within this volume you'll find: One instance of skirt wearing, surprisingly non-terrifying aspects of mole removal, a mathematical equation involving a chicken and a potato, and — most importantly — insight into the creative minds of some of the bay area's most talented students.

Ok, I actually read Vol. 2, but they don't have it for some reason... Anyway, this is a collection of work by Bay Area students, 8-18, mostly worked on at 826 Valencia (also a pirate shop.) Some of these are amazing - one that really stood out to me was "The Station Wagon". There was also one about a girl with an eating disorder by a 13-year-old.

Worth reading, as more than just a novelty.
