A professional organizer discusses ways to control the clutter in one's life, and lists troublesome items from A to Z, to help pack-rats attack one problem at a time
Unfortunately, this is a little too old to be terribly useful - much of the information is outdated. There were still a few tips that I will use and I found the alphabetical method of presenting the information handy. The stories she tells about her clients were hysterical!
There's a test at the beginning of the book to see if you are a pack rat or not. I like the ten commandments of clutter. I also like the how to set up files in the file cabinet to make things easier to find. At the end of the book there's a resource part of about six pages to help you find organizing stores on the Internet to help you with supplies. There's also a page on where to donate things you'd like to get rid of. One place they don't mention in the book is that if you go to yahoo, you can join a group in your area where you can list things you want to give away. It's called "Freecycle". It's a fast way to get rid of just about anything. A book that has a few new things and alot of things you may have read before. But, if this is your first organizing books, a good one to pick up.
