The author's transparent, vulnerable message impacts women in a profound way, showing them that God loves them, imperfect as they are. They discover how God will transform them so that, whoever they are, they can make a difference in their worlds. Written in a ten-week study format, readers dig into Scripture, memorize it, and apply it to their lives, individually or in groups. The revised and enlarged leader's guide makes it even more helpful for small groups.
To live a life that actually counts for the Kingdom?
Do you read the great stories of how God worked throughout church history – and think: YES, that’s what I want to be part of!
I write books to empower women to Do What Matters - for their personal well-being, to strengthen their key relationships and most of all, to make a difference in this world.

My current mission is raising up an army of Kingdom-minded digital nomads. I keep scratching my head, wondering when the church is going to figure out that the greatest opportunity in history is right here, right now. It’s called location independence and it means you can live and work anywhere in the world you feel called to make a difference.
If you’re ready to combine your love for God, the thrill of travel and the skill required to build an online presence, then I invite you to come away with me to be trained at the annual Lifestyle Freedom Event.
This book is awesome. What I learned from this book, is that no matter what you've been through, how you were raised, God can and wants to use to you, if you will just listen to Him and join Him where you are.
I usually read more than one book at a time, this is also a wonderful book. I would recommend this book to those who want to be used by God and to help all of us to understand that our past does not determine our future in God.
This is a life changing book. The words were planted inside of me and have continued to grow. I initially read the book several years ago at the beginning of my Journey back to Jesus Christ. Recently the called me back to the book to read again. I am so thankful for this book. I have been taught the actions I need to take to let God have control of my life. It is still a work in progress. I use this book a reference guide i go back to from time to time to remind myself it is all for the Glory of God!!!! I pray that all who read this book take to heart the words written and let them transforms their life as it has mine. God bless!
This book changed my heart and mind. It showed me that I was in the way of what God wanted to do with my life. When I finished this book, I found so much more joy in teaching Sunday School than before. Rather than being a 'grit your teeth and get thru it' responsibility, it becaame a joy! I have so much move love for the children I teach. I feel so blessed!
This book is the first book we used as our Bible study book at church. It was a very powerful book that encouraged our women in personal growth as Christian women. Try it as a group study. You will love it that way as well as personally.
This book changed my life! It gave me the willingness to let God use me to glorify Him, no matter how painful it would be, and boy has it been painful! I wouldn't have it any other way!
read this for bible study a couple of years ago. read it again this spring (for lent, gave up all other reading other than christian) and really got a lot out of it. may send to sandy?
This is a book that changed the course of my walk in ministry. It is one that I recommend to others who want to move forward and are willing to go through the process with Christ at the center.
This book is well written in an easy to read format. The author Donna Partow shares of some of her own struggles throughout the book. And while I found this book encouraging it also felt repetitive. It is meant to be 10 week Bible study which I need start it as a study but became impatient with some of the scripture interpretations. I did complete all the chapters as more a daily devotional. It’s a book (with my notes) that I will be able to revisit when I need a spiritual boost.
Originally I gave this title 4 stars. I am revising my stars to zero.
The reason I am doing so is that since reading this title, several things about my faith journey and expression have changed and I no longer subscribe to evangelical ideologies.
Additionally, Partow shares various stories about her marriage and husband and they made me VERY uncomfortable. It is a toxic and dysfunctional relationship - or was when she authored the book.
This was an excellent book to read and take a look at yourself and really evaluate your purpose for God. I did struggle with remembering to read the section for each day and ended up just reading the book straight through, but I don't think it took anything away from the content.
This is a great book because it hits so many points that I had questions on with my beliefs. It is a great book to wrap your head around and it makes you do some work after each days read! I loved it.
I found this book to be (for me) like spiritual broccoli - good for me but not something I can say I totally loved. Maybe I’m just not the main audience of married moms some of whom might work outside the home???
