"I express my characters in their pure flawed form because all of us are flawed. I don't shrink from using stereotypes whether positive or negative. Instead, I promote them and in the next breath completely shatter them. This exposes the error of subjugating individuals to intellectually lazy social labels, compelling the reader to confront the empirical nature of a character while lending insight into true understanding."

"Readers are not one-dimensional, and the stories they read shouldn't be either."

It's been two years since I read Can't Hide What's Inside: Book One of this trilogy. I can honestly say that Book 2 did not disappoint. I just hope that the wait won't be as long for the final book in the trilogy.

Madison is a very complex character. I believe she would like nothing more than to live quietly somewhere but when trouble comes for her, and it always does, she doesn't shy away either.

I received a free Advance Reader Copy of Can't Stop What's Inside through BookSirens and I have chosen to leave a review.

Great follow up to the first book in the series, Can’t Hide What’s inside. Though not necessary, I would suggest reading the first in order to get all the background info. In this story, Madison is able to move on from the death of her boy, and even falls in love. But it seems that disaster is meant to follow her where ever she goes. She is hit with information that spins her world out of control.
This book was more condensed then the previous, making the reading more enjoyable. Twists and turns make you wonder who is the victim. The author again takes on hard subjects, so if you are mild of heart, be warned. Looking forward to the next in the series. Thanks to BookSiren for the ARC of this book.

I was really excited to read this book because the first in the series was so good ! This second book didn't let me down ! Madison is still the strong woman that we discovered in book 1 and after seeing what a grieving woman can do, I loved seeing what a woman in love can do. I don't know what surprises I will find in the third book, but I can't wait to read it !

The second book in the series is a fantastic follow-up to the first. Reading the first one is highly recommended to get all the background info. The story narrates Madison's journey of moving on from her son's death and finding love. She can't seem to escape disaster, no matter where she goes. Just enough twists, at the right moment, to keep you turning the pages. Although I'm a fan of Madison Sanders, I found myself wondering what the next page would bring with each chapter.

The book was more concise than the previous one, making it easier to read. Twists and turns make you wonder who is the victim. The author is once again delving into difficult subjects, so if you're easily affected, be prepared.

I'm eagerly anticipating the final book of this trilogy, with the hope that it will answer my question. Definitely a Good Read!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I enjoyed this interesting storyline. It's not often that we read about female serial killers. The action was non-stop and the characters were relatable and believable. I would recommend it to mystery readers. I received a free copy of this book via Book Sirens and I am voluntarily leaving my review.

I received a free ARC of this book and I am leaving an honest and voluntary review. Madison once again finds herself in dangerous situations where death seems to follow her. This was a gripping read and although there were a few slower bits in terms of pacing this was still an enjoyable read. I'm looking forward to the next installment

And the story continues…

CAN’T STOP WHAT’S INSIDE is the second in the Madison Sanders trilogy by C. J. Heigelmann and it’s just as good as the first one.

We find Madison moving on with her life after the events in book 1; she is working at an animal shelter and enjoying her life behind the lens. She still has best friend, Brittany close by who encourages her to get out in the world and maybe date a little. It just so happens that she ends up with one of the detectives who investigated the case that led to the death of her precious son.

As Madison and Alex get closer, he starts to wonder about the integrity of some of the guys he works with. Oh, and all the while there is a madman/serial killer who’s been sent by the family to track her down. He kills people to get what he wants along the way. The killer is actually her cousin, Max Himmel. As Max gets closer, so do the Seattle cops that are chasing HIM.

I really like this author and was happy to see that it was a trilogy. We get a chance to delve deeper into the characters. I’m not sure whether I’d want to have a cuppa with ANYONE except Brittany. She seems like the only normal one out of the whole lot!

I am really looking forward to book 3 to see how it all ends up. Unfortunately, I THINK I know where some of it might be going, but I really hope I’m wrong.

Thank you to BookSirens and Common Folk Press Publishing for this ARC opportunity. All opinions are my own and given voluntarily.

This is the 2nd book in Madison’s trilogy and a lot was going on. She met one of the policemen that was involved in her earlier case by chance and according to both of them they are made for each other after getting to know one another. Then you have Ricci who is Shultz’ partner which starts to go south after they do a call together. Shultz goes to his Olson who is his captain to talk to him about what went down. This is when the book gets really exciting because there is something going on between Ricci and Olson. There are many twists in this story and of Madison is the key player with all the characters in the book. I was going to give the book a 3 or 3.5 star rating but I pushed it up to 4 since I really didn’t see the ending coming.

I would like to thank C.J. for the ARC.

This is the second book of The Madison Sanders Trilogy. I read this book as a GoodReads Psychology/Thriller book selection. It was great to get reaquainted with Madison Sanders and her friends. Although I liked the first book in the series, I enjoyed this book much more. Can't Stop What's Inside is a thrilling rollercoaster ride from start to finish. This book picks up after the end of the first book in the series.

In this book, we find Madison trying to piece her life back together. The book looks at at proecess as Madison is once again having to deal with a violent world. This book gives more insight into Madison and I found myself being a cheerleader for her. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend Can't Stop What's Inside.
