Illustrator Daniel Van Zyle is a co-founder and past president of the Hawaii Wildlife Artists Society. Raised in rural surroundings and growing up with nature as a close companion, his love of wild places and wild things were imprinted on him and nurtured at an early age. Throughout his life, Van Zyle has expressed his connection to the out-of-doors through his art. He was named official artist for the Hawaii Audubon Society, 1989/1990, and for Ducks Unlimited Hawaii, 1992 and 1994. Considered one of wildlife art's prominent original print artists, his etchings, lithographs, drawings, and paintings are widely collected. He lives with his wife in Hawaii.
