One year ago UKAuthors.com, a web site where prose and poetry writers display their work, published a seminal collection of writing chosen democratically in the true spirit of the Internet to showcase the excellence of writing available on the site, and to dismiss for ever the prejudices about the inferior standard of World Wide Web writing. This is believed to have been a world "first" for a Web writing site to cross the barrier into print without editorial intervention of any kind beyond considerations of space.
