Being One: Finding Our Self in Relationship

Rate this book
Being One sheds light on the meaning of our quest for love and relationship in all aspects of human marriage, family, and work. The book distinguishes itself from the myriad of writings on how to find a partner, how to improve your relationship, how to stay married, etc., by helping us to see that we are already profoundly connected to the people in our lives. Harrison digs deeply into our assumptions and beliefs about our culture and ourselves and delivers insight. In this beautiful and profound book, Harrison shows us that it is only in accepting our aloneness that we can truly be in relationship with others.

In Being One, Steven Harrison shares important insights into relationships. He shows us that all of our worries and even solutions surrounding our relationships are making them unnecessarily complicated. Instead, we should focus on our oneness and realize how connected we already are to the world. This book is very helpful not just for people in tough relationships, but for everyone. It will give you an inner peace and lead you into healthier, more fulfilling relationships with everyone in your life.

Some chapters are outstanding in their clarity and insight, while others are a bit odd or boring.

I should have noted down which were which, but I already gave the book away.

I read this, and then read it again. I refer it to my clients. Some authors just get it right. .. this one got it right.
