A very good account of the mysterious trapper that led the Mounties on a desperate manhunt through the frozen north. Perhaps a little sensationalist, but it made for a good read.
An interesting read but not necessarily a good one: more novel than historical text, as so much of the Mad Trapper’s life was a mystery. The book also romanticized a murderous nutcase, which is what it is. The Paperjacks original I have has a very interesting list of other books in the back, too.
