The book is a history book, so it can be dry in some parts, but overall it is very well organized and is succinct when walking through all of the different apologists of the 2nd century. I honestly did not realize how ignorant I was about the 2nd century until I read this book. It is a great read and points to many other sources for studying the apologists as well. I highly recommend it for studying in this field as the quintessential volume (outside of the primary sources) of 2nd century apologists.
