This is her maze now.

This was FREAKING AWESOME!!! This Dystopian Horror is very different, as you read each book you learn and understand more and more. But it is non stop, crazy action throughout. But these kids have become soldiers of a kind, that have been through hell. It made me think of a song from my teenage years (I’m aging myself now), it was called “Hell Is For Children” by Pat Benatar. That song is about child abuse, but really in this world aren’t they abusing these orphans?!!

I loved the characters, and seeing all these kids going to war against military personnel with lots of weapons, fighting for their freedom is really inspiring and shows the courage these kids have. They may not remember their time in the mazes (except for the FMC) but their bodies remember.

After the ending, and for spoilers sake I’m not going to talk about the ending, this book has a Prequel (There Have Been Many) to the trilogy. Chronologically the prequel belongs at the beginning, but with this series it would give away too much and take away from the story. But it’s amazing how in this short prequel how much is explained and the origin of the maze. Ms. Scarano is amazing how she ties things back to books 1 and 2, in fact after the prequel she wrote a couple pages about the characters and points out how things tie together and it’s SO INTERESTING!!! This series is ingenious and obviously written with attention to detail. But really it’s just such a great read and when you’re done, you cannot stop thinking about it!! I can’t praise this series enough!! Highly recommended!!

This conclusion to the trilogy was my favorite book. If I could give it more than five stars, I would.
Witnessing the growth of the found family, seeing these children bonding over their circumstances was so painfully beautiful and emotional. I love all of them, especially Luka.

These children were so resilient, strong, and mature for their age. My heart broke for them, for what they endured and what they had to do to survive.

Nicole Scarano did a beautiful job with this ending. This story was so empowering to me.

Beautiful story. The epilogue where we see them get married and finally end everything made me cry. And the prequel chapters where everything came full circle was so good. I loved all the easter eggs too that were hinted at in the prequel chapters.
