This is the fifth book in the Emmie Rose Haunted Mystery series and if you’ve been following my reviews you know how OBSESSED I am with this series.

This time the gang is split up and things are getting wild!

I liked getting to see each character do their own thing and discover things about themselves and their own mysteries. A deeper look at each one of them as their own person was refreshing.

The sixth book in this series, Raven House, doesn’t come out until July and I have never been more anxious knowing I have to wait MONTHS to read a book than I am right now.

Having barely survived the harrowing events at Whisper House, Emmie, Sara, and Finn decide that a bit of space is in order. When mysterious deaths start rocking the paranormal community, can the friends reunite to stop the nefarious forces at work, or will another horrifying truth separate them for good … Clever, engrossing and horrifyingly imaginative, “Temper House” held me spellbound! Never, in a million years, would I have predicted where this story went; the premise, the plot or the resolution! One word, and only one word fits! SPECTACULAR! Jaw dropping spectacular! I can’t get into details without spoiling the many surprises, but believe me, you won’t have any trouble following or understanding this magnificent story! The writing is crystal clear perfection, the flow smooth, with both action AND edge of your seat moments not only plentiful, but perfectly balanced! The dialogue and scene setting so succinct, and so clear, that listener is never left in doubt, or with questions! Both the characters I’ve come to know, and this enthralling story are brilliantly brought to life by beautiful, clear, engaging and emotional narration that truly breaths life into the author’s spectacular vision! I can’t wait to see what the future holds. Please tell me there will be more! As for Temper House, five fabulous stars!

I've enjoyed reading all the Emmie Rose books and recommend reading them in order to get the most out of them. Book 5 Temper House was an interesting one as everyone had kind of gone off doing separate things. I was a little confused by Jason and Emmie, my mind was asking, 'When did that happen?' as I didn't recall the chemistry being strong in the previous book.

I liked how we saw so much of Sarah's character away from Emmie, saw her learning and for once leading the story. I loved Finn's side journey and Natalia was a brilliant character. One I hope we haven't seen the last of. Speaking of which, is this the last book? I cannot find anymore in this series.

The mystery was good, but I didn't feel as good as the other mysteries. Temper House was fascinating and I enjoyed learning more about the 'organisations'. A solid 3.5 stars. The whole series is definitely worth a read and I do hope this isn't the end for Emmie and the gang!

Temper House, the fifth book in the Emmie Rose Haunted Mystery series, has it all: unusual murders, ghostly mysteries, and, of course, a bit of horror. Emmie and Jason are in New Orleans when the man who tutored them is murdered. As they research the ghastly murder, their research will uncover the source of the troubles…the Temper House. They realize they need their team together if they are going to put a stop to this psychic nightmare. Unfortunately, Finn has gone off on his own and Sarah is missing. When Emmie finally reaches Finn, they all know they must find Sarah, especially since she is already at Temper House. Another wonderful read from Dean Rasmussen. He is always very engaging in his story telling and I love reading this series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Audiobook: Book 5 of the "An Emmie Rose Haunted Mystery" series was as entertaining as the other books in the series. The whole gang was reeling from the events of their last job, and each one has decided to find their own method of recovery. Emmie and Jason looked for answers in their pasts. Finn has left and gone to an unknown destination. Sarah was left alone. This story put me through an emotional wringer. There was a greater aura of creepiness as each person's story unfolded. Kasi Hollowell's narration was exciting, and her performance added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

In this outing of our intrepid ghost hunters, we start out with everyone doing their own thing, but eventually everyone comes together as each of their individual investigations ultimately lead back to the same source. I really enjoyed this book and found it deeply interesting to delve into all of the different characters attributes and the various physic gifts they have. It was a unique way to approach the story this time and I found it highly entertaining. With each book in this series, these characters grow and develop and I've become more fully invested in their lives and adventures. Hopefully there will be many more to come.

A well crafted supernatural story that keeps you enthralled till the end. It portrays well how grief can unhinge a person causing them to destroy even those close to them and the moral boundaries that they hold dear in an attempt to reverse fate. For those who have read his previous novels in this series this novel allows you to watch both the personal and supernatural development of the foursome. Well worth buying

In the interests of truth I was given an ARC copy but the views expressed are my own.

I loved the narration of Kasi Hollowell. She brings out the characters and suspense. Perfect

We meet the team not going separate ways, but looking into different interests, and healing . We just don't meet spirts, but dead coming back. Sarah is trying to improve her gift. This plot pulls you in and the sub plots all join together. The characters keep growing on you. Another amazing plot, great characters and you will find yourself wanting to get to end, then wanting it not to end.

Emmie and her friends have went separate ways after the events at Whisper House. Her and Jason are searching for something. When people start to die.Finn wants to change himself and protect them. Sarah is following a person who said they could help her. Sarah is in danger Temper House is not what it seems. Can Emmie and Finn get to her in time? Are the deaths connected to Temper House? Pulse pounding read.

Quite honestly, when this book first started out, I didn't like it. I was used to a story completely centered around Emmie and the challenges she faced while exploring her gifts without her teachers. This one focused more on the characters Emmie has invited into her inner tribe, before their stories combined at Temper House. But it was a truly stunning story. I didn't expect some of the twists and conflicts that were introduced. It completely won me over.

Received as any audio review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review. Narrated beautifully by Kasi Hollowell, Temper House is the most harrowing, captivating adventure these physics have ever faced yet. Separated by personal paths and the mysterious and bizarre death of Dr. Albright's- a man that has a very complicated past with Emmie and Jason. But their greatest test of their abilities and their sanity at Temper House where its history, family tragedy and vengeance and a zoo full of hauntingly creepy experiments that will mark the group for a long to come.

A profound and poignant story worthy of your time.

Highly recommended.
