Not quite what I expected. This is not a book for someone looking for investment ideas or wealth building strategies. Although, it is a great story of how hardships during childhood can become a blessing as an adult. Gives a real example of the cliche, "what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger".

I enjoyed reading Asha's book very much and learning about her life story and very difficult challenges in early life through her words. I enjoy books the most which are peoples life stories especially told in a more causal manner rather than a boring tutting your own horn style biography. the only two criticisms I have are one) the title of the book is not my favorite because it's a bit misleading to some for two reasons. one is that she redefines retirement in a different way which is OK but misleading to someone just looking at the cover and secondly the book itself is not a get rich strategy book really but more of an inspirational life story with suggestions about life which I enjoyed. and two) is that Asha is not specific about what she does for a living and how much money she had to make in order to no longer work a regular job or specific at all when it comes to dollar amounts or the practical side of paying for any neccesary things in life. I think those are fair criticisms but still I love the book and give it 5 stars. also an updated version should come out according to her email in 2016 which i'd like to read.

Definitely not the book to read if you are actually looking to retire in the traditional sense. There are no business or investment strategies, or any stories of that kind. It was part memoir, part self-improvement.
