Dana Reed, author of eleven published novels—eight horror, two romantic thrillers, and a mystery-suspense—worked as a reporter for several years, and taught Creative Writing and Journalism in Adult Ed classes. Born in Peekskill, New York, she now resides in Vermont with her husband.

Super fun, if a bit long. Dana Reed's brand of unhinged is admirable.

This book was all over the place from page one. It had so much crazy stuff it made my brain spin. What we get is a mutated man-child who murders in gruesome ways. The mother who covers it up by burying the pieces of the victims in her yard. The aunt who complains about it all. The neighbor across the street who hates the other family because the freak kid killed her son. So, she joined a suburban voodoo cult to bring him back to life.

Then we have the priest who is dying of stomach cancer and his protege, who after a scare puts a cover over his head to fool everyone that he is invisible. The mindless living dead who attack horses. The creepy all black van that tools around town and tries to drive other motorists off the road.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some other things, but you get the point. All this from Dana Reed, not her real name, who wrote one of my favorite laugh out loud, unintentionally funny books, "Demon Within." This book has all of that same kind of charm. The crazy as hell dialogue. The insane things people do throughout, like the resurrected kid peeing in his mother's underwear drawer because he's mad at her. I could go on and on. If you want a fun time with a book, than this one should do it.
