Largely inaccessible to the average person, this book presents overpriced shabby chic antiques and a self-congratulatory tone more than anything else.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book..it was a bit of a surprize to me! Tarlow's style may or may not be to everyone's liking, nonetheless, the book has led me to rethink and rechallenge my "space". I thought this was beautifully written and thought provoking.

One of the best book on interior design out there. Gorgeous and simple. My interior design colleagues in DC said this was THE best!
