Photographs from "People" depict the progress of Princess Diana's marriage, the development of her fashion sense, her relations with her sons, her travels, her charitable work, other aspects of her life, and her funeral
I bought this back when it was released. I've noticed I buy magazines on famous people I've loved when they die. I may not read them, though. It is part of my grieving process. Now that I finally look at and read this one, I am not happy: it republished a photo that had been wrongly taken and a couple photos included were demonstrative of the bad media. All part of her life story but I don't want to keep them. This book is no longer owned by me.
negatively commenting on her appearance, showing the photos Diana didn’t like and didn’t consent to having taken, and the overall information is so lacking. they could’ve honored her and her legacy so much better.
She was 6 weeks older than me, we were contemporaries and I followed her like everyone else. Di mania but subdued, American style. Looking over this book once again reminded me how much I miss her. The Diana Years give a wonderful look back at the effect she had on our lives. There are lots of photos of those famous clothes, she was a trend setter. Tidbits of information to jog your memory. Even her hair styles are shown. I discovered that my current style very much resembles Diana in 1996. It is completely by accident but it does show how she still lives in the back of my mind,
as a research tool, this book is a little weak, but as a tribute and pictorial it is beautiful. i love looking at pictures of diana, and reading about her.
