Normally, a surprise visit by my best friend would be a welcome distraction from the orders of the king apparent — also known as my eldest brother, and the first one of my clan to mate a human in as long as any of us can remember.

Surrounded by the bright lights of Las Vegas, with a stalker on her heels, right as a summit of dragons descends on the city isn’t exactly how either of us expected our reunion to go.

My brother’s expectations are clear — watch over my twin sister, help smooth over the tension among the dragons, try to find a way to make human governments see us as assets, rather than threats, and somehow make sure the Tourmaline Clan remains strong, even though it was our brother who exposed us all for the world to see.

That doesn’t stop me from getting distracted by Athena’s plight. I want nothing more than to put an end to her stalker’s torment, and make sure he knows that she’s mine. My best friend. My soul mate. My safe haven from this war between humans and dragonkind.

When humans roll in, armed to the teeth with dragon-annihilating rounds, tanks, and a demand for all the dragons and their human mates to surrender, I know I have to keep her safe. I have to get her out of a city under siege.

I have to claim her as my own.

We just have to make it out alive first…

This is book 4 of 7 revolving around the Wystan siblings of the Tourmaline Clan.

This is Book 4 of Royal Dragon Shifters starring Athena and Kash. WOW this one is a great attention grabbing wild and crazy mystery filled with danger and chaos. I hated how this story starts off but keep reading to discover what Athena finds herself involved in with Kash at the front of all the drama and danger stalking Athena. I have to say that bad guy gray is one bad guy and I can’t wait for him to find his end. I know that is wrong but he has done some many bad things that him getting a happy ending just seems wrong.

Athena calls her friend Kashton when she needs help.
At fifteen Athena had been kidnapped and when her father refused to pay the ransom they used her until after a few weeks she managed to escape. She runs for hours in bare feet then hits a road and is shocked to find a sheriif's car stopping for her. The Sheriff takes her to a hospital where they treat her and run tests to get any traces to help them find her abductors and give her aphone to call who she wants. She calls Kashton who has been her best friend since they met as children.

The enemy just keeps upping the game. We learn a bit more about how much the humans were hated and the drastic methods the elders took. Kinda liked the Jurassic Park quote because you can't deny fate it will find a way. This new era of dragons are not going to just lay down and take it. Kash is probably the only one who knew their mate was and stayed away. With her brains I think Athena would be a force to be reckoned with. Can't wait for what happens next.

This is a well written friends to lovers / shifter romance with strong characters in Athena and Kash. The author does a great job developing the story and painting her scenes. She pulled me in with all the action, danger and suspense and kept me reading with the steam and romance. She moves it fluidly and delivers a terrific read.

The author has given us a heart pounding story that pulls us into the lives of Athena and Kash. The story keeps us turning the pages with danger, suspense, connection, action and steam. The story ends with a cliffhanger that leads to the next book in the series.

These characters are exciting, have chemistry, and are well-crafted with unique personalities. There is drama, tension, danger, and romance. This story has action, adventure, twists/turns, chemistry and love with a HEA that must be worked for. A must read

Great Storyline

Kash is Athena’s best friend who has always been there when needed since she was a little girl.! As life throws her another disaster she flys to be with him in Las Vegas where she finds out he is a Dragon shifter and her stalker is Fae. She also learns that he is her mate but that he has been in denial as he tried to protect her from his world. Grey is a nasty Vampire who feels that he should rule the world and all shifters should be killed. He is the reason Athena has a stalker and almost the death of her but that’s to Kash she pulls thru and is now a dragon/vampire. I look forward to reading this continuing series.
