Favorite lines: "That very next day, when my parents went out shopping, I got towels and the neighborhood kids and did my eyes up with lots of color, playing Cleopatra in the house. My parents came back and freaked out: I had all these black statues and the neighborhood kids with their clothes off, and I had these friends of mine on top of me while I was in the chaise-lounge sprawled on leopard rugs."
