In 1974, Gavin Burns disappeared in the woods near Deep Creek Lake. The only witness, 16-year old Sharon Webster, knows he was a victim of the Blair Witch¾and she will carry that secret to her grave. But her silence means that someone else may suffer Gavin's fate--
I didn't even know these books existed until I found one while book hauling. I didn't expect too much outside of cheesiness, but I liked how it tied in and explored the Blair Witch universe more. This was a classic tale to scare kids and keep them from going into those spooky woods. A good campfire story. This isn't a story that has some huge underlying moral or lasting effect, but its quick and interesting.
After the last pretty dire entry this was a return to form, a classic Blair Witch yarn that’s a real page turner and had all the hallmarks of the series.
Recommended?: if you like kids going into the woods and getting deceived, lost, trapped and in peril then you’ll like this little horror book.
This book was equally terrifying especially while reading it at night on third shift while no one is awake. 10/10 for spooking me and always having me looking around or over my shoulder.
