Reiichi and Arena's temporary linkage aboard the Special Train is nowhere near over when the two make their first stop on the route: the decadent and dangerous Sasuta Shima. This story is very well told. I don't much like the nun character, but given what I've learned about how Christians treated native Americans, Christianity probably deserves her.

Reiichi and Arena continue on the Special Train in a forced alliance (they're handcuffed together). Reiichi and Arena face increasing peril as they are pursued by the bounty hunters Arena's grandfather sent after her--and as they try to complete their homework.

lively story, fun art (or is it the other way round?). although Liae makes a reappearance, argh. if i could throw a character across the room it would be her - i can't stand her mopey, self-involved little face.
