William "Bill" Henry Rodgers is an American runner and former American record holder in the marathon who is best known for his victories in the Boston Marathon and the New York City Marathon in the late 1970s. His victories made him a hero and secondary fuel for the running boom of the 1970s.

The clothes and hairstyles in the pictures have gotten pretty dated, but the advice is evergreen. Great next step after a Couch to 5K.

good general running advice for running into later years in life... consistency and keeping slow (pace) seem to be the main focus.

Helpful, motivational book about lifetime fitness and running. I like Bill Roger's approach to running - do what's right for you in order to be able to run for the rest of your life.

I do want to be at a high level of fitness as long as I can and Bill Rodgers' steady improvement and injury prevention makes lots of sense.
