It's midsummer madness in Invergryff, but no one expects a body to fall from the tower of the Abbey just as Mary Plunkett is about to win a coconut. The death of a stone mason looks very much like an accident, but the ladies of the Wronged Women's Co-operative are not convinced. If it looks like a murder, and smells like a murder, then you can be assured that Bernie Paterson is going to blooming well solve it. Between babies, errant husbands and more raffle tickets than they know what to do with, the mums will find a way to save the day - again - and solve the most startling of murders.
In this installment of the Wronged Women Co-Op Mary and Walker experience some highly emotional situations. Their relationship is explored and difficult questions are answered. Bernie’s niece, Alice returns for a small but important role. A convoluted plot keeps readers engaged and sitting on the edge of their seats. There are many surprises in this latest novel in this incredible series!
Yet another enjoyable read in the WWC series. Gentle and humorous with an interesting plot and likeable (?) characters and written in a style that makes it jog along at a comfortable pace. Perfect bedtime reading.
When Mary and Walker finally get the chance to spend some time together, its at the Abbey, where they're having a fair to raise funds. Surprisingly, the real excitement happens inside the Abbey rather than among the variety of things being sold outside.
This series is pretty awesome but this book is outstanding. Several issues have been resolved that were hanging in the last book. Excitement awaits in the next book.
