6/17/20: a couple hours of reading is enough to “read” this book, but what’s really required is STUDY. Will keep it on the table as we learn to play the game. Full review to come when I declare the book “read.”
6/21/20: okay, now have played the game for a couple days using this as a crutch. Doubt it will ever be REALLY read — as in “I know everything it has to say.” Will review as we go and study more — except that I’m not going to immerse myself in the last forty pages of tables of the points occurring in every hand and the probability of getting such. Don’t plan on playing for $$$ or even € or £!
Cribbage was my favorite game 50 years ago but It has been so long since I played that I forgot how. This book is an excellent refresher of rules and strategy. It also includes a history of the game.
