An amusing but puzzling book in that I wasn't too sure about the ending. Adam finds himself in an almost fairy tale relationship with an exceptionally beautiful girl, Natalie. Natalie has ambitions to become a movie actress and sees her way to it when Serge, a famous director, offers her a film. The rest of the novel is about the escalating relationship between the two, Adam and Natalie. Should they or should they not marry. Adam is never really certain. The whole affair is so easy, he can't believe in it.
