Fallen Angels: Inside Canada's Toughest Womens Prison

Rate this book
Fallen Angels is riveting true crime book at its best, by the women who lived it. In a series of hard-hitting interviews with 12 women behind bars in the notorious Kingston Prison for Women in Ontario, Canada, before its closure, Peter Tadman allows the women to tell their stories in their own words, revealing their childhoods, their lives and their crimes for all to see. But questions are also raised about the treatment of women in federal prisons, particularly in view of the 1994 incident in which a male riot squad stormed the confines of the prison, subjecting female prisoners to inhumane and abusive treatment.
