In 1984, I read the proof-copy of this in one day, while I babysat Aggie's granddaughter because Aggie was going through chemo. I could. not. put. it. down. Its a good thing the baby was tiny and willing to let me rock her while I read.
I would love to get a "real" copy to share with family and friends now.

I read this as a teenager. Ten years now I still remember it. It had a powerful impact in me. I trust the Lord and I know he has a plan for everything he allows in our lives. I “blame” this book for it.

This was an inspiring autobiography of one spunky, faithful woman whose story has many twists and turns. It’s a shame that it’s out of print now because it’s one I’d encourage every Christian to read. The sovereignty of God in the lives of his children- even when everything appears to fail outwardly- is highlighted over and over again in this incredible story.

A wonderful autobiography of a woman of faith.
This book was republished with the title Aggie: The Inspiring Story of a Girl Without a Country.
That is the book that I read.

Read this book over 30 years ago when I first became a Christian, good then, just thinking about how it is still appropriate in today's busy "see me" society. Need to read it again and again.

Reading this as Aggie: The Inspiring Story of a Girl Without a Country - However, couldn't find it under that title on GoodReads.

This is a short, quick read with and an amazing story. It's an encouragement for people in ministry you have seen little to no "results." And reminds us, that we are to work for God's glory and our job is to be obedient to his calling, not to convert 1000 people. Often times, especially today we feel as though if we haven't made a huge difference than we haven't made a difference at all. And this is a reminder of our how small we are and what a big God we have and how we can rest in his sovereignty.

I also liked this story because Aggie is honest about her doubts and fears and sinfulness. It's encouraging to read about a godly woman who wasn't "perfect!"

I highly recommend this to everyone.

This true story is the perfect example of how tragedy and hardship can be transformed into triumph through faith in Christ. It is a powerful reminder to continue to persevere in faith though there may appear to be nothing happening. God is constantly working ALL things for good in the lives of those who love him. Aggie's life is clear evidence of this.
