Dr Rochester was a favorite English teacher when I was in high school. I bought this book when it was published, but decided to re-read it now that I have the time and inclination to do some gardening. Although she has passed away, it was great to hear her voice again and benefit from her sage advice.

Not a typical dry, hard to read gardening book.
I blew through it in two nights.
Lots of great insight and tips on gardening in practice.
I checked this out fromthe library, but I plan to buy my own copy. A must for the gardening library!

Little vignettes organized by season. Got this from the library, but am putting on the to-buy list. Great for anyone who wants to start gardening on the cheap (most other gardening guides I've read seem to make the assumption that all readers are millionaires!).
