About the author

Francesca Simon grew up in California and attended both Yale and Oxford Universities, where she specialised in Medieval Studies. How this prepared her to write children’s books she cannot imagine, but it did give her a thorough grounding in alliteration.

She then threw away a lucrative career as a medievalist and worked as a freelance journalist, writing for the Sunday Times, Guardian, Mail on Sunday, Telegraph, and Vogue (US). After her son Joshua was born in 1989, she started writing children’s books full time. One of the UK’s best-selling children’s writers, Francesca has published over 50 books, including the immensely popular HORRID HENRY series, which has now sold over twelve million copies.

Francesca won the Children’s Book of the Year in 2008 at the British Book Awards for Horrid Henry and the Abominable Snowman. HORRID HENRY is published in 24 countries and is also an animated CITV series. She lives in London with her husband, son, and Tibetan Spaniel, Shanti.

It's really funny but I finished the book, the funniest one was the Christmas one because Henry jumbled up all the name tags of the presents because his aunt Ruby and his cousin Stuck - up Steve stayed with his family a Christmas and Steve got everything Henry wanted so her changed them into for Henry and he gave Steve some smelly socks.

I thought this book is only for children and teens, but I was wrong, since I got to laugh hard, haha and I think Horrid Henry is such a genius, he has nicknames of all the Characters and got to outsmart everyone, but unfortunately, he's got a match (Moody Margaret). He's really not horrid as the book describes him, but he's just a smart kid. haha. You'll get to know what I mean when you read it yourself. I enjoyed reading it, so I guess you'll too. ☺️

Absolute fun-fest, only wish it were longer. Chanced upon this at a Saarang stall and it was a breath of fresh air. Or in the words of Horrid Henry, a stinkbomb. Lol.

Still the favourite with my twins and we are snuggling up in this cold winter months and reading on a weekend. We've also discovered Horrrid Henry on YouTube now to the delight of the boys.
