Walter Reeves is a native Georgian who grew up on a farm in rural Fayette county, where he gained lots of practical knowledge about plants. His horticulture career began with the University of Georgia Extension, where he served for 29 years. Best known to Atlanta-area listeners as the radio host of The Lawn and Garden Show with Walter Reeves, he also reaches gardeners through his weekly columns in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Walter helps gardeners throughout the state as the host of Gardening in Georgia, shown weekly on Georgia Public Broadcasting. Walter is the co-author of the Georgia Gardeners Guide, Month by Month Gardening in Georgia, and The Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Book.
