So I If teens are intent on learning from their peers, why not give them incredible peer role models? 16 booksPatti M. Hummel is passionate about youth, having served in inner-city New York, in the South Pacific with YWAM for seven years, and at Christian Children’s Homes in three different cities. She is the author/compiler/contributing author of thirteen books, has written numerous articles for Christian magazines, and speaks to Christian women’s and church groups. The president of the Benchmark Group Consulting Firm, Patti has also earned numerous awards for outstanding accomplishments in sales and leadership. She and the late Rev. Donald R. Hummel Sr. raised three children, who are now adults. She also has one very precious granddaughter to whom this book is dedicated with “hope against hope” that her teen years will be lived as an imitator of Christ Jesus.

Actually disappointing compared to other devotion books I've read. However, I did like that nearly all the devo's were written by teens about my own age.

This book is one of my FAVORITE devotionals. (Even after my dog tore out a few pages and are the cover) I read it a few years ago and dog eared many pages, now I'm reading it again and different parts are what I need. The stories in this book truly face everything that can happen in the teenage years. These girls have scripture and advice to go along with the struggles of this world. A big thank you to these girls for being, honest, vulnerable, and very real about what they went through and how they lived through it.

It's great to know that you're not the only one going through certain struggles in life. Reading this book has really changed my outlook on life and my faith. This is my third time reading it for a year, and I'm still learning a lot from this book that's helping me find strength in the Lord. Totally recommended to all teen girls who need something to start their day right!

November 8, 2012I loved this devotional. It was pretty good, I read it when I was around 17 and it was really helpful. It really talk about things that teen girls go through. I hope I can get something like this again but for your adults. This was a really good devotional for teens (girls).

I love this book. I read a passage every night, and find comfort in it. I love reading about real girls, my age, who are going through such ordeals so I can begin to appreciate everything.

I did this book with the youth group small group that I lead. It was great for the girls in that it was short each day so they could really get a habit of doing devotions each day. The topics written by other girls really resonated with my girls too. However, I would say there are a few times I didn't quite agree with what the teenage writers said, but just like my girls they are still learning too. For the most part it was really good.
