Love this series, featuring "senior" sleuth Kate Kennedy, her best friend Marlene, and her beloved Westie, Ballou. Good, fast read with great characters.

It was a cute story line. Short and sweet had me guessing on somethings.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

I really enjoyed this book, it was light and a little silly, and a great summer time read.

It is nice reading books with older heroines, ones who are normal, not the super rich, super thin that many authors seem to think we want to read about. I like mysteries with "normal" hero/heroines, flawed, sometimes grumpy, on a budget and craving chocolate - just like me!

The setting of this book in Florida, at a circus/flea market is unusual and did not help my fear of clowns!

I will happily look for more books by this author.

This book was really weak as far as mysteries go. The only reason I kept reading it was that it's so short. Kate seemed pretty crabby towards everyone except for the little boy and none of the characters were very interesting and there were so many that I got confused who was who, the author didn't really make their personalities different enough.
Skip this series and find something else to read.

A circus in a flea market is the setting of this cozy mystery that mixes animal abuse charges, Neo-Nazi bund members, blackmail, and a lot of love triangles. Interesting mystery..
