Waiting for Death, Forgotten Stones

Rate this book
Waiting for Death - Forgotten Stones is a collection of poems that deal with many of the absurdities of human behavior and life. It is designed to teach us a lot about ourselves or those we encounter on a daily basis and will either inspire us to do more than “Wait for Death†or become a “Forgotten Stone,†or teach us to be more aware of the words we use as in “Bad Words†or “Praying for Anger,†even help us to heal from childhood traumas as in “Last Picked.†Some poems deal with our own relatives as in “Relative Invasion,†“Midnight Caller†or “Christmas Gift Sense.†Even annoying friends in our lives as in “Hamburger Hooters,†“Just Jack†or “Larry†are addressed. At times the poems make us sit up and laugh at the world in which we live, as in “Checkout Counter Information.†Several poems deal with relationships, as in “Sex Lies†or “Time Off for Bad Behavior,†or even our spiritual lives, as in “Talking to GOD†or “If Jesus†Name was Bert.†Often we get too serious about life, and this collection allows us to view it with logic and humor and a clear mind.
