There are volcanos, heat, and a ton of ashes. Will the heat also send my heart burning?A storm of meteoroids cracks my spaceship's engine... I am forced to make an emergency landing on this scorching planet. But nothing could have prepared me for the hulky and muscular red alien hunters who see me from a distance and begin chasing me with their spears. I try to explain myself, but they don't even speak my language.
Their deadly handsome leader lets me stay in his place and he keeps taking care of me. What begins as a simple gesture of kindness soon evolves into something more. The pull between us grows stronger and stronger. Maybe we don't need a common language to spark the fire between us.
Caught by Fire is the second book in the Crashing into an Alien Tribe series. A sweet, steamy sci-fi alien romance that is hotter than fire. Each book can be read standalone, but more fun to read from the beginning to the end.
This is the second book in this series and it's another enjoyable alien romance. This story is about Sonia a researcher who is on a spaceship waiting for the portal to open up on their way back from delivering supplies to Lexis and Yalvoi the leader of his village whose job is to protect and keep record of King Volcano that's in the center of their village were engaging characters. Yalvoi with his niece Elhus on his shoulder sees a bright object falling toward the volcano. His priest sends Yalvoi and honored men of his village to pay tribute to King Volcano. Sonia and Nahnall crash land on Uve after entering a portal that led them to a meteoroid shower which damaged their ship. Three days after landing on King Volcana, Sonia and Nahnall decide to walk to the village they see in the distance for help. They run into Yalvio and his men who attack them. What occurs is an engaging story with likable characters that I received a copy and volunteer to read and review.
This was a very exciting book that kept me entertained throughout and the main characters had me laughing at times but overall I loved the storyline. Sonia and Nahnall have just made a delivery and are waiting for a portal to open up to go home but a meter storm forces them to crash land on the planet Uve that has heaps of volcanoes that could cook them alive but they need help to get home so after 3 days they decide to walk to the village but they are not sure if they will survive the heat. Yalvoi is the leader of the King Volcano and has now been sent to find out what crash landed on there planet and when they come upon two humans we attack them but there is something about the one called Sonia that calls to him. How will it all turn out in the end get this book to find out.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is another fun story and this one sure started off on the wrong foot! Sonia is looking for help and Yalvoi is trying to protect his people...well, they may not have figured they should be together but the Volcano god gave them a little push ;) These two sparked chemistry from the moment they met and I enjoyed following them to their HEA. So much fun - especially with their communication issues ;D
Their first meeting didn’t exactly go well, but the volcano god helped with that. The attraction between the two main characters sure happened quickly despite the problem of being unable to communicate. There’s plenty of frustration with that but it certainly didn’t stop them from becoming VERY close!
Sonia and a fellow scientist land on a volcanic planet. Yalvoi and his tribe find them on their sacred volcano and want to kill them. Sonia gets captured but the other gets away. No translator how can they understand each other? Enjoy
I was disappointed with the editing and the fact that the author used modern language at odd times. ‘Hey guys…. ‘ These were aliens on a fairly isolated planet and it was just so off putting. I did not finish this book!
