This is a shoking book which reveals how and how much Islam and Muslims have been vilified over the centuries. More crucially, the author explains why this was done and to put it as bluntly as him: if Muslims are considered as less than humans (barbaric, sexist, backwards, murderers, liars, slave traders, etc.), then they can be massacred without anyone in the public opinion raising an eyebrow.

It's an impressive research by Islamic historian Dr Al-Djazairi, also author of The Hidden Debt to Islamic Civilisation, The Golden Age and Decling of I-C and on the Crusades among others. This is his most emotional book and one can feel the frustration and anger behind the words, which we can only share.

A must read to open one's eyes on today's manipulations as well as historical lies.

There was a nation once upon a time led the world with invention, human rights, religious co-existence and with hopes and dreams of peace called Muslim. Then the arrival of so called age of empire turned the world in a different direction and played successfully a blame game to overthrow the peaceful image of Islam. What's the inside story of all about it? This book will take you in a journey from history to recent time to discover how the western misled and managed to depict a highly negative image of Islam in millions of heart while the truth is surprisingly the opposite as the writer somewhere in the book speaks:

"To sum up, in this respect, the bulk of Western writing on Islam has primarily consisted of removing and obliterating the positive and favourable facts of Islamic history, and re-attributing them to the West. Then, this same writing has suppressed all the negative from the history of the West so as to re-attribute it to Islam. Thus, everything positive in Islamic history, such as the rise of modem sciences, or gardening, or architectural innovations, tolerance, etc, gradually, little by little, has been suppressed from Islamic history, and been attributed to the West."
