The anatomical information in this book is so interesting and useful. I felt the sketches were an improvement from Simplied Forms, but I still think one would be better off studying photographs as opposed to these drawings.

I am such a fan of the Morpho series! Michel Lauricella's approach to anatomy is so easy to learn from; every time I get a new one of his books, I read it cover to cover, fascinated, before diving into sketches of my own.
In the case of this newest book, the particular subject of study is the human head, face and neck, with plenty of focus on the internal structure and how that can vary or remain constant. Everything from proportions and simplified forms, to musculature and the effects of aging and fat distribution is covered in a wide array of Lauricella's sketches, which are dynamic and easy to comprehend.
Whether you enjoy drawing, painting, sculpture, or any other medium that involves rendering the human form, I absolutely recommend checking out the Morpho series!
