Offbeat Kentuckians: Legends to Lunatics

Rate this book
Stories of some of the Bluegrass state's known and lesser-known eccentrics give the phrase "favorite sons and daughers" a new twist. McQueen engagingly spins tales of the likes of career criminal George Barrett, psychic Edgar Cayce, duelist Alexander McClung and more than 20 other Kentuckians who he says are "peculiar footnotes to history." Keven's twin brother, Kyle. pens cartoon illustrations to contribute to this "fun read."

Keven McQueen is the best non-fiction writer in Kentucky. All of his books have earned a place on my bookshelf..................at least all of the ones that friends haven't borrowed and then not retured!

This book offers a look at some of Kentucky's famous citizens and/or lunatics and what made them famous. Quite entertaining.
