WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!? THIS DESERVED AT LEAST ANOTHER 500 PAGES

I'll always love slytherin Herminone and her band of snakes lol, I aslo liked Harry as a barley there kinda charecter! Her prophecy is chef's kiss and amazing, Draco as a sooulmate and not just the love of her life? Perfection!!!

This had me laughing, crying, throwing up and at some points *almost* throwing my kindle clean across my bed.

I cant wait for the sequel, the writing as perfect, pacing.. tension moments and the heartbreak.. OH THE PAIN I FELT

Eu não sei do que é que estava à espera, mas sei que não era de ler sobre uma Hermione:
- que NUNCA foi Gryffindor, mas sim Slytherin since day 1;
- que é BFF DO DRACO, antes deles namorarem (e virarem Mates👀)
- que não se sente worthy do Draco, porque não é Pure Blooded como ele
- que deu UM SOCO AO RON PORQUE ELE GOZOU COM O DRACO, assim que chegaram a Hogwarts;
- DEU OUTRO AO NEVILLE, porque ele não quis ser amigo dela;
- e que participou no Triwizard Tournament, e só não venceu porque….well….foi um final tenso!!!!

A autora desta fic viu tudo o que era canon e disse “ya, vai ser exatamente isso, só que ao contrário”, and I love her for it!

Ver os slytherins a adotar a Hermione e a defende-la quando alguém lhe chama Mudblood, foi literalmente o contrário do que eu estava à espera, e foi lindo!

Found Family (Slytherin’s Version) é sempre bué bonito de ler💚

Também foi bue engraçado ver os acontecimentos dos livros a acontecerem através da pov de alunos que não eram amigos do Harry Potter. Era sempre algo do tipo: “estávamos todos chill, e de repente o fucking Harry Potter mata um basílico! The fuck?!”, “E claro que o Harry Potter vai entrar no torneio tribruxo quando as regras dizem que são só TRÊS pessoas…..How does he keep doing that!!!!!”
Quando todas sabemos que nos livros, o Harry está completamente à toa e a lutar pela vida, o tempo todo, poor baby.

Esta fic foi minimamente realista e coerente com o material de origem? Not really. Mas foi fucking glorioso!

Única cena estranha da fic, é que eles têm 14 anos, e não 17, como eu estava à espera. E parece que a autora se esquecia disso às vezes, porque eles bebiam bue para quem ainda é meio uma criança.

This is such a beautifully written Fic and I cannot wait to see Gee hone her craft when the sequel is released. This had me laughing, crying, and at some points throwing my kindle clean across my bed. Gee captured the essence of our much loved characters perfectly and I cannot wait to see what happens for them all next!

I'm disappointed by my rating but well. I had such high expectations for this fanfiction. I couldn't wait for it to be completed so that I could read it in one go. Well, I read it in one go and perhaps it was a mistake to start with this story just after having been completely moved by Secrets and Masks, but I have to say that Below the Surface had very little impact on me.

The plot was promising. Goblet of Fire rewritten with Hermione in Slytherin and part of the Slytherin gang. Given my obsession with the four of them, I should have loved it. Well, I didn't. The personalities are light years away from what we've come to know them as and it totally took me out of my reading. Hermione isn't Hermione, Draco isn't Draco. Theo is still a jolly clown, but he doesn't make much of an impression. The same goes for Pansy (which is a pity because it was a TikTok about her that made me want to read this story).

Apart from the characters, the plot wasn't bad, well rewritten in itself despite a style of writing that I didn't find spellbinding.

I must admit I didn't see the plot twist coming at the end, announcing a second part to this story. And, although it was well thought out, I was totally taken out of the story by the revelation. Making Draco and Hermione soulmates was rather unexpected (and not necessarily in a positive sense, although I love this trope with these two characters). I liked the fact that Lucius and Narcissa were, for once, totally under Hermione's spell (even if, again, it really clashed with their personalities).

Anyway, maybe I'm being harsh with my rating but, although promising, the story left me wanting more and the characters all seemed out of place.

If I could give this more stars I would. Hermione, being a Slytherin, is determined to prove to Ron Wesley that she *can* win the Triwizard Tournament. Not, of course, because he goaded her or told her that she'd never be good enough for the Malfoys - or so she insists.

But it's hard to believe her when she spends almost every moment with Draco. And when he's selected in the second task to be the person she rescues it's quite obvious that they love each other.

In the meantime she's slowly growing a friendship with two of the other competitors - leaving Krum to fend for himself.

Everything will come to head during the last task when their darkest and best parts will be revealed to each other in that maze.

This is set in 4th year, so this is a purely fluff fic with no spice (which is a-okay with me since they're 14 years old)

I think it could have greatly benefited from moving slower it was so fast paced it was like whiplash. And some details were cringy to me like the fact that Hermione would punch anyone who left dog-eared pages in the library books or that they called their friend group snakes?? but once u get past that the plot is really good and the writing is nice

It was very good! Not perfect, but as far as I understood its just finished and the author put the fic out pretty quickly. But I was hooked! I loved the concept with hermoine being in slytherin, because I always love the found family trope with the slytherins in dramoine. I also loved that the author didnt take away all the things that make hermoine hermoine. I feel like it could have happened. But we know that canon hermoine also is a little violent and is fierce in protecting her friends.

I really can’t wait to see what happens in the next one!

Such a beautifully written fanfic about an alternate universe where Hermione is the fourth champion and a Slytherin, while still following the major plot points of Goblet of Fire. All characters are heartfelt and I got attached.

Don't me wrong - this book was good. I loved seeing Hermione as a Slytherin and seeing how that impacted her interactions with the other characters. I had lots of feelings in the last 5 or so chapters - it was quite a rollercoaster. I was left wanting to know more - especially how the events of the final chapters would impact the world as we know it. I'd love a sequel!

Acho que a primeira vez que ouvi falar desta fanfic foi a uns 3/4 meses. Enrolei um pouco e quando finalmente peguei para ler, não consegui parar.

Eu devorei em poucas horas e ela foi tão divertida de ler. A escrita te entretém e a narrativa não te deixar largar sem saber o que vai acontecer. Além disso, eu amo fanfics onde Hermione faz parte do grupinho dos slytherin e que ainda faz jus a amizade dela com o Harry. Simplesmente tudo.

Eu tenho meus problemas com o relacionamento, acho que ainda mais para um friends to lovers esperava um pouco mais de slowburn e mais desenvolvimento da relação dela com os Malfoys. Sei que a ideia é ser um reconto de Cálice de Fogo, mas não ter mais desta introdução foi uma perda para mim. Ainda mais se tratando de um universo onde a Hermione faz parte da Slytherin House.

Num geral, foi um ótimo jeito de começar o mês, é uma das minhas leituras favoritas do ano e o final me deixou em êxtase para a continuação.
