Francine Paula Pascal was an American author best known for her Sweet Valley series of young adult novels. Sweet Valley High, the backbone of the collection, was made into a television series, which led to several spin-offs, including The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University. Although most of these books were published in the 1980s and 1990s, they remained so popular that several titles were re-released decades later.

It's "take your daughter to work day" and the twins mother takes them to the department store where she works. Her boss seems to be a strict lady and twins cause trouble all day long.

Kind of an odd way to end the series, but maybe they didn't know it was the last book? Cute either way.

Guys. IT’S THE LAST SVK 😭
It’s rake your daughter to work day. For everyone. So the boys stay at school. 🤔 Anyway, the twins go with Alice (because it’s more fun than being a lawyer) to her job at a Mall (she was still studying last book I’m pretty sure) as an interior designer (I.e. Saleswoman). Her boss, Mrs Hengstler, is a little reluctant but nice enough, and loves Alice. She must be a super star, because the twins start causing mayhem straight away. Not everything is their fault, but most is. They spill coffee on Mrs H’s designs, wrap fabrics around themselves, almost undersell something by $3000… generally annoys customers and Mrs H. A mean grouchy customer comes in and yells at Alice because his wife’s birthday present has been misplaced, and the twins get sent to work in the store room. They try to take things seriously but can’t help playing. Somehow they end up in a game of hide and seek and finding a bear rug, a mouse and a mysterious package. Of course, Mrs H and the mean customer come in right as Liz is taking the mouse outside, and it’s chaos. But after thinking they were playing Mrs H sees they were helping (um they were playing) and then Alice realises the mystery package is for the grumpy customer and the twins save the day! Swipe to see how SVK ends… by talking about Charlie Cashman. Very anticlimactic 🧐
My rating - 4/10 - another disjointed book, and a random way to end the series. Where are the other kids? Why not end with something fun? 🤦🏼‍♀️.
