I want more. I wish this series could have a couple more volumes. Great plot, good characterization and I love the realism too. A very entertaining and engrossing manga. A total winner. I must go seek out the Drama CD now.
Volume 2 was just as good as volume 1, maybe even better. I don't think this book is available in English so you'll have to read it online through a scanlation site.
Yui and Asuka had such a beautiful relationship. They were so in love with each other that they had a hard time being separated from each other. I really wish the series continued so that I can keep following them. The ending seemed to leave that possibility open but it never happened. It would have been nice to know what Yui decided to pursue after high school (I still can't believe he gave up his tennis career!) as well as what ended up happening with Hiiragi.
I never really understood what his feelings for Asuka were. I thought he just saw Asuka as a good friend and business partner but his actions in the second half of the story made me question that. He kept coming to see him and constantly thought about how lonely he was without him at the main office anymore. That doesn't necessarily equate to romantic love but it does make me wonder.
The ending was a little underwhelming, but again, I really think it was done like that to keep the possibility open for a 3rd volume. As the author stated in her "Free Talk" section Yui had gotten a lot weaker since volume 1 whereas Asuka had gotten stronger. This was their reaction to being in love. Yui should've been given a chance to mature and grow stronger. It's so easy to forget that he was just 18.
I enjoyed this story so much that I plan on checking out the mangaka's other works, if I can find them. These two books were interesting enough that I'd recommend at least trying volume 1 to see if it's for you. It's a rare old school gem that's worth the effort to find.
Not nearly as intense or charming as the first book but it did have some exciting moments. Mostly it was... lots of sex. Not that I'm complaining mind you.
