For The Things I Didn't Know

Rate this book
"1994: Upon his release from prison, Jack Marchionne tries to cope with the aftermath of two traumatic events from his past. The first, the unexpected death of a talkative State Trooper he befriended at a local bar for fellow mechanics. The second, the drunk-driving accident which landed him in prison and left a woman disabled. Ready to start a new life, he discovers that his wife and two daughters have up and abandoned him without a trace, leaving him even more determined to amend the mistakes he made as a father. His attempt at reconciliation is obstructed by the demons of his past, including his lifelong connection to organized crime.
His daughters, Angelina and Evy, now grown, find themselves struggling, not only with mundane life, but with each other. Angelina, the oldest, has become disillusioned and mistrusting of the men in her world, especially after breaking up with a mentally unstable boyfriend. Left emotionally barren, she seeks love from a female co-worker. Evy is more optimistic and forgiving of the world while trying to desperately break away from the constant brainwashing from Angelina and their mother. She, unlike her sister, forgives her father for his failures and longs to reunite with him again.
Can Jack successfully untangle himself from a web of crime and deceit, or will the demons of his past finally catch up with him?"

I had to DNF this book. I tried to finish it, but there were too many characters, no real story and the typos/editing errors in the chapters were too much. Doubtful I will go back to finish.
