This was a tough book to find but I got my hands on a like new copy. This book really needs to be reissued as I’m sure there are many fans of Neil’s that would love to own it. The photographs are so detailed and make for an amazing study of the professor at work. Motion and emotion is evoked by every image. Each photo has depth and intimacy. My only criticism is that the book is too short - how I would love to see the images that didn’t make it into the book.

And here’s a sappy personal message to the author - thanks for bringing the artist back to music and restoring love and light to his life. His legions of fans are forever grateful!

Not quite as good as I was expecting. Some of the photos are excellent, while others are pretty awful. I understand why - she was shooting film in low lighting, with what sounds like very minimal extra lighting so as not to be in the way, and her subject moves insanely fast when at work. So I understand why some of the shots are out of focus and noisy... But some of them, I can't believe anyone thought they were worth publishing. So those ones were very disappointing.

On the upside, there ARE some images that are excellent, so it's not a complete loss. The essays at the beginning by Carrie and Neil are an interesting read, and overall the book is a glimpse into a pivotal point in Rush's history, so it's definitely still worth owning if you're a Rush fan/collector.
